Took a stroll down to The Vine today.

Clock turned 2.30 and in walks a couple of ladies seeking food. When none was available they went to leave.

New owner / proprietor / chef, at the time taking a well rest asks:
'Were you looking for lunch' ? 'No problem ladies - what would you like' ?

Order taken and 10 mins later their table is fully loaded.

Now, that's what I call service

AAaaaan, don't forget the superb beef cobs to rival the anchor and the roaring fire. That place has gained some quality in the last three weeks.

Went there for a meal last week - the food was home cooked, of good quality and was reasonably priced.

The home made Steak & Kidney Pie came with a side dish of vegetables, chips and buttered potatoes for less than £8. Too much for me to eat. On budget should we not feel like cooking ourselves after work.
