Village Trail

Kinver is a popular walking destination in the West Midlands.

This is a circular walk around the village starting from the Acre Car Park where there are usually plenty of available spaces.

Starting Point:Any of the three public car parks could be used as the starting point:

  • Acre car park behind the Post Office
  • White Harte Car Park behind Ye Olde White Harte
  • Opposite the Parish Council Office 
  1. Park at the Acre carpark opposite “The Butchery”
  2. Return to the High Street
  3. Turn left and follow the High Street to the mini roundabout
  4. Turn left at the mini-roundabout onto Stone Lane
  5. Turn left onto Fairfield Drive. 
  6. Pass the fire station and Foley Infants School
  7. Turn Left onto The Compa
  8. Pass the Scout Camp
  9. Continue along to the one way section olane.  there is a footpath accessable by steps at the no entry sign
  10. Enter the churchyard for a fine view of the village
  11. Follow the church yard clockwise and exit on the south side
  12. Turn left, down the hill.  Take care!
  13. Turn left down the hill to The Cross Inn. There is a pavement on the right hand side.
  14. Bear right and head down the Holloway to the right of The Cross Inn, next to the Grammar School
  15. Turn left onto Mill Lane
  16. Bear Right onto the High Street, returning to The Butchery
  17. Turn left to The Acre carpark
