About KinverOnline

KinverOnline was created in 2002 as a vehicle for promoting the campaign to get broadband internet access into the homes and businesses of Kinver. The site originally just had a bit of information about the campaign and links to the various places you could register your interest in high-speed internet.

Turns out we struck a nerve and very soon the village collected enough votes and BT enabled our exchange.

So what next? Well, the site evolved into a one-stop shop for information about the village with a business directory and guides to going out, reviews of pubs and information on restaurants. It also spawned a highly visited forum that allowed residents and visitors alike to vent their spleen on the many issues within the village.

For a while the site thrived, then it all went a bit pear shaped when the owner (me) got a bit busy at work.

New team, new lease of life...

We now have a number of people on board who are helping to keep the content up to date so say hi to Claire Wakelin and Charles Sadler.

So, if you've got events to publicise, articles you'd like to submit or a business you want to promote, get in touch with us.

The following organisations are helping us to get a Christmas tree in Kinver, thanks to all of them!
