walked past the Village Tandori (think that's what it was called - Berkleys old place with the upstairs?) last night to see all windows blanked out with newspaper!!

Peeked through to see all the furniture piled up & decorating going on. The door opened, out popped a head & asked “who are you looking for” – so I just said “being nosey” (as you do!)

Turns out it was the guy from the Italian (Mortons old place) – they’ve taken it over & will be open in a week or so. Looks like Mortons will be empty again & we’ve lost another curry house.

As for The Village: Never used it mainly because the exterior decor looked crap so figured the food would be as bad !

I heard mixed reports regarding the place...never tried it myself... Howvever, whatever merits it did have were evidently not sufficient to ensure long term financial success..

I'm sure the old Kinfayre won't be empty for too long... I liked the set-up when Leon and Tonnie had it, with a bar upstairs + Live music...
