The New, New, & New Again Italian Restaurant

Thought I would start a new thread rather than re-open the old one continuing the saga of the "new restaurant" that was not new after all. The new Italian in the old WWII Dads Army place having first moved to new premises in the old Indian Restaurant, has now moved to a new premises in Bromsgrove. Their old premises shall apparently be soon replaced by a NEW, NEW ITALIAN RESTAURANT.

Sorry, not allowed to SHOUT, but when is it opening?

Last time I heard from the owner - Giuseppe Cataldo - the Target Date is mid May.
They've an awful lot of work to do to get in into shape apparently but how nice to see those awful black tiles disappear from the facia.

They're clearly spending a lot of money on a 'proper' refurb, the frontage particularly should look splendid. If the food is good and pitched to the local market, they're on to a winner. We just need the Vine to be sorted . . . . .

Sounds good. Looking forward to a nice piece of fillet steak or some veal, washed down with a bottle of Chianti. Hopefully.

My birthday is not far away now, so it looks like I may have to setle for a pork pie at The Cross or a curry.

The last I heard was that the place would be "Functioning" by Country Fayre Day but only providing snacks outside the frontage.

Interestingly, the new owner Giuseppe, is very keen to be part of village life and on Kinver Country Fayre Day, is hosting the art exhibition inside the newly re-decorated interior.
This seems to fly in the face of some restaurauteurs locally, who are actively opposing the idea of up to 10,000 potential customers being delivered to their frontage. Forgive my sarcasm!
